Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 5

It has been a particularly busy few months for the awesome MR crew, starting with a test for the Michelin Sprint Challenge team at 'The Bend', then back a week later for another test day with our Carrera Cup cars, then 6 days with the Porsche Track Experience running the Cup Car for the famous PTX Level 5 program (also) at 'The Bend'.

Then we headed back to South Australia for Michelin Sprint Challenge round 5 before we rushed back to Qld to drop-off those cars and collect our Carrera Cup cars to head back to Adelaide.

Brett had a lot of fun in race 1 until he was passed by Slavin last lap race 1.
He turned the tables in race 2 to pass Rod Jane on the last lap to take his first Carrera Cup Pro-Am win.

Lockie Bloxsom #23

Lockie did a great job to qualify 4th which lead to his best Carrera Cup result of 4th in race 1, he lost 10 places at the beginning of race 2 and did another excellent job to start and finish 7th in race 3.

Clay and the team were extremely disappointed with qualifying, he had a quiet race 1, but a good start in race 2 making 8 places, then got taken out by Flack in race 3.

Like Clay, Caleb was frustrated with qualifying but had a solid drive in race 1. In race 2 he was turned at turn 1 which hurt his pace then he was in the wars again in race 3.

Team Corner

Summary

Although Brett was hit by a spinning car in race 3 which cost him a podium, he was chuffed to take his first Carrera Cup Pro-Am race win in race 2.

Lockie also had a Carrera Cup personal best, qualifying and finishing 4th in race 1.

Both Clay and Caleb had rough weekends with contact, damage and sub-optimal results.

As usual the awesome MR crew did a fantastic job and are looking forward to less trips to South Australia and a slightly less hectic schedule for the next few weeks.
