Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 4

It was exciting to be heading back to our home circuit for Carrera Cup for the first time since 2008!

We were also welcoming Brett ‘Blisters’ Boulton back after missing the Darwin round due to the birth of his new daughter. We had also had a huge surprise from our own Timmy McCumstie who secretly arranged for Tim Miles Porsche Cup Car, (which is now owned by the Sumich family and raced by Caleb in the 2024 championship) to be wrapped by our great friends from CMP Wraps as an amazing tribute to Tim’s life, legacy and Carrera Cup journey.

The car was on display outside the Carrera Cup hospitality suite for the weekend, and brought back great memories for many of Tim’s friends and competitors.

Summary

Qualifying was solid with Clay, Caleb and Lockie, starting 6th, 7th and 8th with Brett 3rd in Pro-Am. After the first two eventful races Clay, Caleb and Lockie, started race 3 in 7th, 11th and 13th respectively and Brett 2nd equal in Pro-Am.

After the final race, the Pros finished the race weekend 6th, 11th and 12th. Brett is still doing the heavy lifting taking his third straight podium in Carrera Cup, and it was awesome that he took his son’s Harvey and Archie up on to the podium with him at his home race. As usual, many thanks to the amazing MR crew for their consistently great work.
