Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Round 1

Summary

Congrats to Brett taking a podium on his Carrera Cup debut! He did an outstanding job all weekend, despite the regular Pro-Ams attempting to give him a challenging initiation, he put his elbows out and delivered MR our first podium of the new season. It's also fair to say that the striking Lightning McQueen inspired livery on his car gained plenty of attention and plenty of new fans!

Caleb started his weekend further back than he wanted but took a 13th qualifying and steadily worked his way up to 7th in race 3 and now sits 7th in championship standings. Clay wasn't happy to qualify 7th and this lead to some forceful driving which made his situation worse, picking up penalties in races 2 and 3 so he sits 13th in the championship. Lockie was 3rd fastest in practice 2 so we were confident of more top 5 results. Unfortunately a penalty in race 1 put him further back than he should have been and he finished the weekend 14th.

As a group we have plenty to learn from the weekend and can guarantee that we will come out swinging at the AGP in 3 weeks.
