Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Round 3

Summary

Prior to the weekend, we were looking forward to our Michelin Sprint Challenge team's first opportunity to race at the challenging Townsville street circuit, as support for the Supercars. Much like our race weekend at The Bend last month, we didn’t get close to the results that our drivers were potentially able to achieve.

Despite the lack of trophies, highlights from the weekend included Clay capturing the Michelin Sprint Challenge lap record in race 2 on Sunday morning. Caleb's storming drive from last on the grid at the start of race 2 to take 5th in race 3, Brett's pole and race 1 win in Pro-Am and Ayrton’s continued growth and second top 5, racing at this level.

And a huge shout out to the amazing effort from the awesome MR crew who only had 2 hours sleep on Saturday night after a massive effort to replace the front tub on Caleb’s car after heavy impact in race 1. Again proving the AMRC are the best in the business - if we do say so ourselves!
