Porsche Carrera Cup North America

Laguna Seca, California

The MR USA team tested at the legendary Laguna Seca circuit a week ago to prepare Tom and Bayley for the two Carrera Cup races which were to headline the world-famous Porsche Rennsport Reunion number 7.

Tom was looking to consolidate his 2nd place in the 2023 PCCNA championship, while Bayley was looking forward to his first experience racing in North America and with an ABS braking system.

Summary

Well, needless to say we are absolutely rapt to win our first race in North America. It also keeps our run alive of being one of the few teams in the world to have won Carrera Cup races in every championship we have competed.

Tom has had some bad luck during the season and was well overdue for this outstanding result.

Bayley Hall did a great job on his American debut and his first race with ABS. With a slightly more assertive run in qualifying he would have comfortably finished within the top-5.

Many thanks to Rafa Racing Club and 8TWELVE wheels for their support. Our next race is in the Australian Carrera Cup at Bathurst, then the final round of the 2023 PCCNA championship at Circuit of the Americas in Texas supporting the Formula 1.
